Accurate measurement is essential for diagnosis and treatment planning. Here are some handy tips for measuring your blood pressure at home!

Preparation:
  • Find a quiet, comfortable spot with the right temperature.
  • Relax for 3-5 minutes before taking your reading, and avoid chatting.
  • Skip smoking, caffeine, food, or exercise for at least 30 minutes prior.
  • Dress lightly and empty your bladder if needed.

Sitting Position:
  • Sit in a chair with back support
  • Feet flat on the floor, avoid crossing your legs.
  • Arm at heart level
